OccuPro’s Functional Capacity Evaluation training continuing education course is designed for professionals who are looking to expand their knowledge and/or implement Functional Capacity Evaluations into their medical practice.

Following the completion of this three day continuing education course you will be able to plan, administer, and perform evidence based FCEs that exceed industry reliability and validity levels. Upon course completion attendees are certified as trained FCE testers and this course is one of two best steps in attaining the Certified Functional Capacity Evaluator certification.

By the end of this training program learners will be able to:

• Demonstrate ability to perform/document safe, reliable, and defensible FCEs.
• Consistently identify safe occasional, frequent, or continuous abilities.
• Demonstrate understanding of consistency of effort and reliability of pain.
• Accurately extrapolate data to an 8 hour day.
• Demonstrate knowledge of kinesiophysical lifting protocols.
• Recognize FCE documentation that enhances your reports.
• Back up your FCE results in a court of law.

You will receive hands on experience performing a kinesiophysical Functional Capacity Evaluation with a full FCE being performed by each attendee on day three of the course. The protocols and training are built around assessment tools that have been court tested with published reliability and validity studies.

Following the completion of this course you will receive ongoing testing support as you grow and expand your FCE practice. OccuPro’s Online Assessment Application will be utilized during the course as a training tool. This software is an optional piece of equipment that will greatly improve your productivity and efficiency in completing Functional Capacity Evaluations.

Earn CFCE Certification

Following the completion of OccuPro's Comprehensive Industrial Rehabilitation Training course or Functional Capacity Evaluation Training course, clinicians may apply for certification following the completion of 15 FCEs. OccuPro's Director of Continuing Education will choose 5 of these FCEs which will be reviewed by 3 other Certified Functional Capacity Evaluators. Following the satisfaction of internationally recognized evaluation criteria evaluators will be deemed a Certified Functional Capacity Evaluator.
