Following the completion of this one-day course you will be able to analyze and evaluate common office ergonomic risk factors and reduce these risk factors through high level job modification techniques. The course will discuss, demonstrate and teach common office ergonomic evaluation techniques.  Following this course you could earn your Certified Office Ergonomic Evaluator certification.  This popular course is offered live in person or as a live interactive webcast only a few times during the year and fills up quickly. You can take this course immediately as an on-demand course.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this training program learners will be able to:

  • Understand, use and evaluate current office ergonomic evaluation tools.
  • Differentiate common office ergonomic assessment tools and be able to identify the most appropriate for your evaluation.
  • Identify common office ergonomic risk factors and determine solutions to mitigate these risk factors.
  • Understand basic methods of identifying, selecting and implementing office ergonomic solutions.
  • Select appropriate engineering and administrative controls to mitigate office ergonomic risk factors.
  • Develop and implement a full office ergonomics program at any size company/corporation/business.
  • Perform a full office ergonomic evaluation at a local company/corporation/business.
  • Watch the course instructor perform an office ergonomic evaluation

The Office Ergonomics course will provide detailed and hands-on instruction of commonly used office ergonomic assessment tools designed to identify high risk activities, rank multiple jobs for the need for ergonomic revisions, and provide direction for selection of office ergonomic solutions. The course will consist of hands on use of common office ergonomic evaluation techniques within an office environment and providing solutions to reduce office ergonomic risk factors.  Many of the instructors most favorite office ergonomic products will be displayed and discussed throughout the course.

Certification

Following the completion of OccuPro’s Office Ergonomic Training course, an attendee is certified as a trained office ergonomic evaluator. After the course is completed, an attendee can work towards an OccuPro Office Ergonomic Evaluator Certification by completing 5 office ergonomic evaluations and submitting them along with an application to OccuPro. The submitted files are then reviewed and scored by three other certified ergonomists to determine whether they have earned certification as an Office Ergonomic Evaluator.
