Our user asked: "2 years ago I blew out my right hamstring doing squats and I still feel constant pain. It's a sharp pain that sometimes forces me to limp. I want to try rehabilitating it but I'm torn on where to start....Do I start with ice and rest or light cardio then ice etc."
Ask a PT Response: "For any of my patients that have sustained a hamstring injury, great care is taken with progression of exercises in order to minimize reinjury. Everyone is different, so without physically examining you, I wouldn't be able to recommend what is best for you. Here is a great article that will give you a general idea of rehab progression for this injury: http://www.fiba.com/asp_includes/download.asp?file_id=525" Edited by Ask a PT - Apr 08 2013 at 10:12am |
