Our user asked: "I badly sprained my ankle and foot in April of this year. I finished PT a while ago and was pain-free. I've started using my elliptical machine again; now I have pain again. Would you recommend using the ellipticsl regardless, or need I back off it for a while longer? Thanks"
 
Ask a PT Response: "For my patients who have a condition similiar to yours, I would usually have them backoff. If they are utilizing the elliptical and it is exacerbating the condition, I would definitely have them back off from use. Other forms of exercise such as stationary bike or swimming could be substituted. If your condition doesn't improve, it may be a good idea to see your PT again."
