Thank you,I appreciate your response. When reading the symptoms of TFL what jumped out at me was the inability to walk fast or sleep on the affected side which apples to me. I do spend long hours siting on a flat surface which may have been a factor. I'll try some treatment that relates to this issue. Thanks again!! :)

First thing that comes to mind is either a dysfunction with your TFL or iliopsoas. Have you tried massaging that area and stretching. Probably not labrum given what she described.

Hi,
I have pain/discomfort in my right groin/lat hip area when taking a long stride. Walking up a hill or incline is out of the question. When turning right I have to point my upper body in that direction instead pointing my right foot first. This has been ongoing for about three weeks. There has been no trauma,no falls or accidents. Xrays ruled out arthritis. Im able to sit, walk, kneel, cross my right leg over onto my left knee. Weight bearing is no problem and I dont need a cane or crutches. Im not a professional but from my research I dont believe it is a labral issue. There are no "clicks or catches" when I manipulate my leg. Prior to this injury I was walking 2-3 mi a day when weather permitted. I realize without a physical exam a diagnosis is a "best guess". Any suggestions as to what muscle is injured and what exercises will be beneficial. Thank you,, Richard
