Would like any feedback and iformation you have with regards to my paper. THank you for your time."
Ask a PT Response: "Listed below are links to job descriptions from the U.S. Department of Labor- Bureau of Labor Statistics which should help you with your report. My take- physical therapists are known to be problem solvers who use their knowledge along with various skills/treatment techniques to help their patients’. In order to be a physical therapist now, an individual is required to successfully complete a doctorate in physical therapy. Physical therapists will continue their education and further develop their skills by attending continuing education courses. A physical therapist can obtain some of the education and skills other health professionals such as a chiropractor, athletic trainer or massage therapist posses by attending continuing education courses and attending/participating in labs/clinicals dedicated to learning and practicing these skills. These courses further complement the knowledge and skills which a physical therapist already possesses and should help maximize treatment outcome. Unlike some of the other professions, physical therapists help empower patients and help them to become more responsible for their own outcome. Their goal is to have the patient independent with the management of their condition. Unlike the other professions, physical therapists have the opportunity to participate in various settings given skill set such as Outpatient, Sports Medicine, Inpatient – Acute/Subacute, Neuro, nursing homes, schools, research etc. . The job outlook is also very promising for physical therapy and is described in the report on Physical Therapists by the Department of Labor. Good luck with your paper and please feel free to contact us should you have any additional questions.
