Our user asked: "I had a wart surgically removed from the crease line at the first digit of my left index finger the incision has healed but the finger remains pretty stiff. I have kept that finger straight for 2 or 3 months because it was painful before the surgery. If I hold my hand out level I can bend the finger down maybe a 45 degree angle and then I feel tightness in the ligaments. Can you recommend a exercise routine to get my finger back the way it was. Thank you"

Ask a PT Response: "Prior to performing any exercise program on your own, it is always best to first consult with your physician first. Here is a link to a site which has some very detailed exercises for the hand and fingers.

Best of luck to you. "
