Our user asked: "In late January (today in Jun 13) I used a weight machine with too much weight and injured what my MD says is probably the biceps tendons. I stopped lifting arm weights about a month ago to rest them. But still use my biceps daily. Are there exercises to help them mend, or strengthen muscles around the tendons? My MD told me to get PT but the cost is prohibitive through my insurance since I have a high deductible and can't afford $300 each session. Thank you."

Ask a PT Response: "Do you have tendonitis of the proximal (by shoulder) or distal (by elbow) tendon? Here is a website that has some of the exerices: http://www.joint-pain-solutions.com/bicep-tendonitis-exercises.html . I'd check with your MD prior to initiating any exercise program."
