Our user asked: "I had knee surgery and have alot of atrophy and cant walj with out crutches. What exercises can i do?"

Ask a PT Response: "What did you have done? Are you allowed weight bearing? The type of surgery performed and your precautions will dictate your ability to perform various exercises.

It may be a good idea to work with a PT so that a plan of care can be developed tailored to yor specific needs."

Our user responded: "I had high tibial ostectomy.   Oh yea im four months out. Bone has heald great.  I ran out of insurance so i cant get s prescription for pt.   I had alot of atrophy before surgery. I can tell knee is fixed just weak calf an quad. So it cant support body weight."

Ask a PT Response: "Here is another link to some basic exercises for knee: http://www.physioadvisor.com.au/8119350/knee-strengthening-exercises-knee-rehabilitation.htm
For calf, standing heel raises and balance exercises (ie. on a disc, bosu ball, etc) are some exercises which I would give my patients."
