Our user asked: "I am currently a PT assistant, and have had limited training in the medical field. I have recently begun training for assisting PT's with their evaluations, notations, etc... I have heard of websites that have "virtual patients" where you can sort of learn the conditions, diagnosis, etc along with the correct terminology. Aside from taking medical terminology and anatomy courses, is there any place on-line to get direct physical therapy practice?
Ask a PT Response: "There are a variety of sites where you can go to to learn more about conditions, diagnosis, etc. CyberPT is one of them. Our conditions and treatments page lists condition which are treated by therapists and the PT treatment options available: http://www.cyberpt.com/cptcondtrtlistnov21.asp
Other sites which have virtual surgeries can include: http://www.uhsi.org/MusculoskeletalInstitute/Institute/index.aspx http://www.apm-wi.net/home/procedureeducation.html http://www.edheads.org/activities/hip/index.htm http://www.edheads.org/activities/knee/index.htm I hope this helps. Thanks for using CyberPT. |
