pain on the back of the arm!

My husband has been complaining pain for a month on the back of his  right arm and i think you call it triceps but in the middle on that muscle and now spreading over his right upper back.He said he have less sensation on his forefinger and thumb but he can do all movements with his right arm....pain that part getting worse sometimes its like on and off pain...cud it be nerve or what?thanks.< id="gwProxy" ="">< ="jsCall;" id="jsProxy" ="">
