Our user asked: "Yikes! I slept in a chair last night and awoke with this pain. How long will this take to heal? I am going on a cruise in May. Thanks.
Ask a PT Response: "As far as your question, I am just wondering why you are suspecting a rhomboid strain. Pain in the upper back region where the rhomboids is located could be associated with a number of other conditions. A rhomboid strain is usually associated with a direct injury involving the rhomobid muscle and not from a sedentary activity such as sleeping in a chair (recliner I assume). "
