Our user asked: "i am a 53 yr old male, i am forver tweaking my adductors, i am doing butterfly stretches and foam rolling, can this be caused by tightness in other quad muscles and what are some things that might help ?...thanks"

Ask a PT Response: "There could be a number of factors going on. Muscle imbalances such as weakness of the hip adductors or abductors could be a possible factor. Decrease flexibility of these muscle groups, postural/anatomical abnormalities, or weakness of other supporting muscles groups are other factors which come to mind. Without examining you, I am unable to give you any specific recommendations. If you are able to, it might not be a bad idea to see a PT for a least an evaluation so that he or she will be able to determine what may be contributing to your condition and provide you with a plan of care specific for your needs."
