Our user asked: "my ankles are really bad and i used to do therapy on them. im a basketball player and sometimes when i first start playing they feel tight around the ankle towards the shin also. how can i prevent that tightness?"
Ask a PT Response: "For my patients that may have a condition simililar to yours, I'd have them work on stretching, strengthening, stability training, somatosensory and proprioceptive training, etc. ie.

Definitely check with your trainer, PT or MD for more information and for other ideas." |

Try this exercise:-
Sit and cross your leg one by one by taking your ankle onto your other thigh. Point your toes and use your hand to press down and extend the stretch. Then, pull your toes toward your shins and use your hand to put pressure on the foot to increase the stretch. Next, stretch your feet in both sideways directions. Note:- Always consult a Physical therapist before performing any exercise. |
