Artificial hip joint
Replace you're damaged joint by tools use to make you able to walk, so you can depend on yourself and feel free do your day activities , your new joint is not same like the original joint there is Difficulties in moving, so from this day on you should do what your Physical therapist advice's you and be cooperate will help you to have great steps to restore your power and natural movement by some of therapeutic exercise that you should start with it in hospital and after you back home, physical therapist will guide you how to walk without assistant Important things that must committed to avoid this positions 1- avoid walking with internal rotation on your affected leg 2- avoid hyperflexion on your hip joint 3- avoid cross your affected leg on the unaffected one sitting position 1-When you sit from a standing position your effected leg should be full extension and load your weight on your unaffected leg and on chair by using your hands 2- avoid crossing your effected leg on the unaffected 3- always remember that when you sit on chair your knees must be lower than your thighs to do this you can put one billow or more on chair see the photo 4- its better to use chair with hand rest 5- avoid sitting on short chairs that to prevent hyperflexion on your hip like in toilet, Raised toilet seat with lid makes it easier to get on and off the toilet and prevent hyperflexion on hip standing position A- full extension your effected leg B- then use your both hands to push on the chair hands rest and load your body up then load your full weight on unaffected leg to stand drive car A- avoid driving or sitting on cars to six month after the surgery B- if you ever having to get on car you should back the seat as much as possible to prevent hyperflexion on hip when you walking A- go on the steps that physical therapist teach you B- at start of walking it's better to walk short distance and distributed at intervals 3 times a day C- be attention from any thing on floor that make you fall D- if you want to have rest for while or talk with your friends make sure that you rest your back on wall Up and down the stairs up stairs 1- always catch handrail 2- start the first step by your unaffected leg then the effected then your walking tools 3- with each step you must make both legs and your walking tools in the same stair 4- ask someone for help to stand next to you effected leg down stairs 1- always catch handrail 2- start by walking tools then your effected leg then unaffected 3- with each step you must make both legs and your walking tools in the same stair 4- ask someone for help to stand next to you effected leg note : if you need walking tools your physical therapist will tell you the best tools to use it depend on your case to see more visit :http://www.your-pts.blogspot.com/ |
