Reversed cervical lordosis especially at C5-6, disk space narrowing and osteophytes c5-7, thoracic outlet syndrome, DeQuervain's, rotator cuff, osteoporosis, arm and hand weakness, severe Raynaud's, autoimmune connective tissue disease, progressive distal neuropathy, myofascial pain
I am a 55 yo F, 5'8 153 lbs, 35+ yrs in IT, now on disability. Trying to maintain quality of life. Went through 5+ years of PT and chiropractic for above problems. Stopped chiropractic six months ago due to anxiety about neck adjustments. Subsequent xrays showed reversed cervical lordosis. Given these chronic, progressing issues, what upper body exercises are possible to do at home to maintain function and minimize pain? Exercises involving the neck, eg for TOS, are uncomfortable. I can't lift much weight or pull hard. My arm and hand tendons are shot, grip is weak. I don't swim and don't care for water exercises. I used to do yoga. |
