Our user asked: "I expect to have considerably pain following knee surgery, but am wondering if it is typical to be brought to a point of screaming in agony. Would I be wrong to ask the therapist to go a little more slowly."
Ask a PT Response: "Unfortunately, a patient will experience some pain with rehabilitation after a knee replacement. However, it doesn't have to be excruciating. You definitely would not be wrong to ask for the therapist to take it easier on you. He or she should be able to come up with other activities which may be less painful and achieve the same objectives. Best of luck with your rehab."
