Our user asked: "I have been told that I have a frozen shoulder by one doctor and a pinched nerve by another doctor. Would a frozen shoulder cause pain to radiate down my arm into my fingers like an electric shock? The pain was only in one arm first but is now going into the other arm and hand. Thank you very much for your help - I appreciate it since I am becoming very confused."
Ask a PT Response: "With a frozen shoulder in some cases you may have some pain into the arm, but is not very likely to travel down to the hand. Since you are experiencing pain down to the fingers and into the other arm as well, I would most likely suspect some kind of nerve involvement. Have you tried physical therapy to help with your condition yet? Both conditions are treated by physical therapists."
