Our user asked: "Hello. For over two years now I've been having neck, shoulder, and back issues. I don't know what all is related and I keep getting run around from doctors to PTs, chiropractors, and shrinks. My best guess is a pinched nerve of sorts and being severely out of shape. Symptoms: 1. Right side of neck always feels tense. Tilting my head to the left in a precise way makes it crackle. 2. My left shoulder tingles like crazy if I leave my left arm resting on something (steering wheel, desk) 3. If I press near my spin on my neck, it causes a crazy electrical-like feeling about to the area I constantly feel tingling 4. If I move my tongue or soft pallet or head in just the right way, my ears pop and/or crackle. 5. My upper back, right between my shoulder blades feels weak and needs to be popped, strengthened, and set upright by jutting my chest out. I've recently started trying things like lat pulldowns, flies, rows, etc. Sometimes it feels better but usually not for very long and almost seems to make it worse. I'm so sick of this! Any ideas what is going on and potential recommendations?? I would greatly appreciate it!!"
Ask a PT Response: "Have you had any medical imaging performed ie. MRI? What does your MD and PT think is going on? From what you describe it seems like a nerve may be pinching somewhere. Have they ruled out thoracic outlet syndrome? http://www.cyberpt.com/cptcondtrtthoracicoutletsyndrome.asp - http://www.cyberpt.com/cptcondtrtthoracicoutletsyndrome.asp "
