Our user asked: "An area of my upper left leg on my back side has been sore for 6 months now, and I'm not sure what to do. I think it developed from a soccer injury I had, and despite the stretches and exercises I've done it still it not 100%. I think it's either the biceps femoris long head or the semitendinosus. I'd like to get this healed asap, would icing it do anything?"

Ask a PT Response: At this point in time (6 months) I don't think icing will help. If stretching and exercises have not helped it might be a good time to see a physical therapist now. They can determine what is contributing to your condition and develop a plan of care based on the findings. More than likely manual therapy will be incorporated into the treatment. Best of luck to you."
