I am a hair stylist, so I stand and bend forward all day. I have recently been having more pain in my neck, upper back and shoulders. I also get numbness in my hands and headaches. Is this something I should go to a doctor for?

Lexis,
With your job you will put a lot of stresses on your arms, neck and back. Poor posture and mechanics can result in abnormal stresses to various parts of your body and increase tissue tension as well. Numbness in the hands and headaches can result from the tissue tension or the posture you have positioned yourself in. Since your condition is worsening, I would definitely seek medical attention. Physical therapy might be great for you to work on posture, mechanics, stretching, decreasing tissue tension/irritability and strengthening. Good Luck.
