Our user asked: "If a poultry plant worker has a right trapezius strain, would their work limitations include gripping and squeezing of their right hand?"

Ask a PT Response: "Gripping and squeezing could be affected on the same side as the trapezius strain as the patient could present with a guarded posture which could result in less strength with functional related activities. If grip strength is affected it may be a good idea to have the patient undergo further medical testing to rule out any other complications as well (ie. nerve, cervical disc, etc.). I hope this helps and thanks for using CyberPT."
