Our user asked: "Hi there, What are some self correction moves I can use to get my right SI joint back into place? My problem is a posteriorly rotated innominate on the right side. Thanks!"

Ask a PT Response: "When I instruct my patients on how to treat a posteriorly rotated innominate on the right side, I will have my patient lay on his/her back on a table and have the R leg hang off the table while my patient is holding onto the other knee at his/her chest. The patient can add ankle weights to the R ankle as well to exert more force. I usaully have my patient do this for about 15-30 seconds x 7.  Another way to do this would be to have my patient get in a hip flexor stretch position in standing and have my patient put his/her R knee bent on the ground while the left knee is also bent but off the ground. I will than have my patient shift his/her weight forward so as to exert force on the right hip/SI. Again 15-30 seconds x 7. "
