Around the month of Feburary, I started noticing pain in my left knee within the medial aspect. It would sometimes radiate and cause stiffness and discomfort. I shrugged it off like most of my other injuries and thought it was just an MCL strain. I played on this injury for two months. The pain, stiffness and discomfort stayed the same throughout the whole time, no matter how matter how intense my workouts were. Finally in April, I decided to so a physio therapist and he said i had an MCL strain but i didnt feel he was right because ive had an MCL strain before and it felt different. After that appointment, I laid off all types of exercise and haven't participated in any exercises at all since then. I had three laser therapy session with him and at the end i didnt feel any difference. In the middle of may(around May 20th) i went to another therapist and he said i had Pes Ansernius because of the symptoms i told him i was experiencing, which were pain 2-3 inches below the knee cap, discomfort when I'd sleep or when my knee touched side-to-side. Most of all, it was stiffness and discomfort I felt that kept my from playing sports and sitting for a long time and gettting up caused this stiffness. He perscribed me with some exercises, ultra sound treatment, electrical stimulation therapy and stretching. After that appointment, I stopped going to physio and started doing the stretches by myself, which included ham string stetches, adductor, etc. I even did some strength exercises like one legged squats with resistance bands, squats, etc. I iced it (have been since Feburary) around 3 times a day for 20 minutes. Ive been doing these stretches for near a month and I don't feel really signs of healing. One week ago my knee felt like it was getting better, but then randomly one day it started to feel stiff again and I didn't know what to do. My mom even got me an electrical stimulation machine (Dr. Hos muscle therapy) and ive been using it for 3 days and I dont know if it will really help because it massages and stimulates the muscle and im not sure if that for pes anserinus since the injury deals with the bursae. Maybe its my orthotics (have had them for 2 and a half years) but my foot hasnt grown so i don't see in reasons to change them. I am desperate for some kind of help, something can help my in healing since i am desperate to begin training for my upcoming football and basketball season. I feel like if it doesn't start to heal after all this time off and stretching and icing, i will start to play again and ignore the stiffness like I did before. My physio said this isn't a bad case of pes anserinus at all because there is NO swelling, no EXTREME pain and just tightness is the problem.
Suggestions PLEASEEE
