My mom had a bad fall and hit her head on the side of the bathtub. A couple of weeks later, she had a stroke. Could the stroke be related to her head injury?

I had put up the same question in http://www.caring.com/questions/head-injury-cause-a-stroke - http://www.caring.com/questions/head-injury-cause-a-stroke , and I am too scared now.

Please advice.

Andy

Hi Andy,
I agree with Nerisa from the caring.com website. If your mother hit her head in a way which resulted in internal hemorrhaging at the brain, a stroke could occur. Also agree with her that your mother's doctor should be made aware of her fall as well. Well wishes to your mother.
