Our user asked: "My wife gave birth to twins approximately 9 weeks ago, and her abdominal muscles are very slow to heal. Do you have any suggestions (ie exercises, abdominal binder, etc) that would help her abdominal muscles converge to midline after having separated."
 
Ask a PT Response: "I don't have too much experience with this, so I consulted with a colleague of mine who does. She recommends to her patients to perform Sahrmann exercises. These were exercises developed by a physical therapist Shirley Sahrmann, PT, PhD, FAPTA. She recommends the following sites to learn more about these exercises.
