Our user asked: "MRI indicates bulging disc at C4-5, C6-7 and T2-3. Can I continue my 40 minute daily walks without doing further harm?"

Ask a PT Response: "For my patients who have multiple cervical disc bulges, a walking routine is commonly prescribed. They are instructed to ambulate as tolerated. Should they begin to experience increase sx, they are instructed to rest. With their walking routine, they are instructed to avoid activities which could exacerbate their condition such as ambulating over uneven surfaces, ambulating up/down inclines/declines, ambulating at a fast pace, ambulating over slippery surfaces, etc. It may be a good idea to confirm with your MD to inquire if ambulating for 40 minutes is appropriate for your situation."
