Our user asked: "my husband has been complaining of pain at the back of his arms since last 4 years its been on and off but this month its been everyday. The part is in the middle at the back of his left arm i think its in the triceps muscle. What am i going to do with him?thanks a lot"

Ask a PT Response: "That is a pretty broad question. Maybe you can give me a little more background on your husband. For example, was there an injury that resulted in this pain, what is his occupation, symptomology (ie. sharp, achy, burning, etc), incident which could have exacerbated condition, past medical history, etc. It it has gotten worst, it may be a good idea to see a MD or PT to get a better idea of what may be going on."

Hello Teresa - could be a number of reasons he is experiencing pain in that region as a result of a fall. A nerve could be pinched, fracture, tendon injury, muscle injury, etc.

Just curious if your massage is helping his condition? Nevertheless, if his condition isn't improving it may be a good idea for him to seek medical attention, especailly since you mentioned the pain is now spreading to his back.
