Our user asked: "Hello. So i thought it would be a good idea to tackle a friends snowman this winter and the snowman turned out to be a lot harder than i imagined. This was a bit over a month ago and the slight pain and more annoyingly loose feeling went away then came back looser than before. I am curious to know if there is anything i can do to try to heal it without going into the doctor seeing as i don't have insurance. thank you."

Ask a PT Response: "The information you have provided is very vague. For my patients that have shoulder instability, I would have them work on rotator cuff and scapular strengthening and stabilization exercises. There are a variety of ways to perform these exercises and some of the examples can be found on the exercise video page on CyberPT and on http://www.shoulder-pain-management.com/shoulderrotatorcuffexercises.html - http://www.shoulder-pain-management.com/shoulderrotatorcuffexercises.html   Prior to performing any form of self treatment It is recommended that you seek professional and medical advise from your physical therapist or physician."
