Our user asked: "I had a torn labrum repaired this Tuesday. I started to stationary bike and walk. My surgeon says to wait 5 weeks for all exercise. I am not moving my shoulder at all. Wouldnt the biking and walking help recovery?"

Ask a PT Response: "What kind of surgery did you undergo - SLAP repair, Bankart Repair, etc? If the labral tear was pretty severe that may be why your surgeon is being so conservative. You can get a general idea of exercise progession by visiting our protocols page. http://www.cyberpt.com/cyberptprotocols.asp - http://www.cyberpt.com/cyberptprotocols.asp "
