Our user asked: "I had acl reconstruction surgery and a bucket handle tear of my medial meniscus which got removed 4 weeks ago today. today is my 3rd full week of phisical therapy going 3 times a week. My question is evryday all the pta's at this place say how great im doing I fly threw all the exercises with ease and they never increase anything never add new exercises. I do the same thing every time. I feel they are trying to milk me for the whole 8 to 12 weeks it says for me to recover when I feel I could be put back to full duties and return to work by week 6! They just have me ride a bike for 10 min, then I do some laying down exercises then a few standing up ones and then stretch i'm done. What should be done for this type of rehab and is going slow even with someone who has no problems or pain doing theese exercises normal?"
 
Ask a PT Response: "Therapy following an ACL reconstruction/meniscectomy is not very aggresive in the beginning to allow for healing. Here are a few links to some protocols which should give you a better idea of exercise progression. Keep im mind that protocols will vary among surgeons:
